Post For GNB WIB Youth Council Director Filled

Adam W. Chapdelaine is a resident of Fall River, MA and has a professional background in state government and academic experience in business/public administration. Most recently, Adam has been named the Youth Council Director for the Greater New Bedford Workforce Investment Board, Inc. Adam's experience in state government began with his appointment as legislative aide to State Senator Joan Menard, the Senate Majority Whip, in 2002.

Throughout his tenure with Senator Menard, Adam, worked his way up the office hierarchy earning the position of Deputy Chief of Staff for Budget and Constituent Services. In this position, Adam was responsible for working with the Senator on establishing her state budget priorities and methods of advocating said priorities to the Senate Ways and Means committee. Through his experience at the State House he has developed expertise in the development of partnerships that result in tangible outcomes.

He has also gained valuable experience in dealing with a great variety of people ranging from homeless constituents to corporate CEO's. It is these skills that Adam hopes to put to use in his new role with the Youth Council.

Adam has also just earned his M.B.A. from Suffolk University in Boston as well as possessing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Adam lives in the Historic Lower Highlands area of Fall River with his wife Rita.
