Workforce Training Fund – Upcoming Seminars

The Center for Business and Industry at Bristol Community College will offer free Workforce Training Fund (WTF) Workshops in collaboration with the Division of Career Services (DCS) and The Commonwealth Corporation (CommCorp). These workshops will provide information to organizations employing Massachusetts workers about avenues to acquire state funds for the purpose of subsidizing employee training programs. The series will help organizations learn about the many workforce development/training funding opportunities available.

Please contact Bridget Alexander, 508-979-1504 ext. 15, for dates and locations.

Bioneers by the Bay Fourth Annual Bioneers by the Bay Conference Tackles Environmental Sustainability Crisis with Global and Local Solutions
  • How will the financial crisis affect the green movement? These and other questions will be explored at Bioneers by the Bay - the Northeast's premiere conference on the environment and social justice - and it's right around the corner.
  • With rising gas prices and an economy in peril, Bioneers by the Bay addresses how environmental solutions can restore health and wealth to our economy and our communities. Van Jones, green economy expert recently featured in the New York Times, leads the conversation.
The Fourth Annual Bioneers by the Bay: Connecting for Change, hosted and produced by the Marion Institute, will be held in historic downtown New Bedford, MA from October 23-26. The conference uses the ideas of international and national environmental and social justice experts to inspire individuals and groups in local communities into action. Featured speakers include Van Jones and Majora Carter of Green For All and many others.
